Luminous

((This took long enough to start up. 8D Of course, it's still open to all~ But you'll have to make a bio if you want to join. And this RP is yaoi free. So if you do join, please don't write any yaoi.))

On the planet of Murali, there's a group called the Luminous Mercenaries. The Luminous Mercenaries find their home in a small mansion, which they got from a particularly tough mission. This mansion is currently located near the capital of Louirouse. For advertisments, they placed posters around the town. There is a sign in front of the mansion, letting you know that the mansion is indeed the current base of the Luminous Mercenaries.
As their job, these mercenaries go through Murali huntin monsterz, helpin people, retrieving items, escorting, or whatever the people request them to do for money. They can either agree to the job they're given or decline them. One day they get roped into a job unlike any they've received before.
They are asked to go retrieve a paintin that unbeknownst to them was a map that lead to an item of WORLD DESTRUCTION (Untill Asa comez up with the accual reason for it :B ) The people who had requested us to bring back the paintin to them turned out to want the map for their evil deedz. We head out, followin the map to find the destructive item and destroy it before they could get their handz on it, causin them to send out monsterz to retrieve the map and kill us.



The world of Murali consistz of 5 different continentz:

The northernmost continent is TSUSHIMUNE. (XD Placing the names randomly. Hope they had no special meaning) It is much colder than all the other continents, and it's large mountain range is permanently covered in snow.

Then, The westernmost continent is LOUIROUSE! It's climate changes year round, and it is the largest of the rest of the continents.

Below Louriouse, connected by a land bridge, is ROMATICA. It has a tropical climate, but gets colder the farther south.

The easternmost continent is the nameless one. It is closer to Tsushimune. Making it cold for longer in the year, but still warm the rest of it.

And lastly, a large island (not a continent, sorry,) is NEW THAMES. It is directly in the center of the world. It haas a WET SEASON and a DRY SEASON.

Surroundin these continentz are the oceanz Rogers, Stryfen, Ocha, Portfirio, and Aizo.

The currency is reitos and ecos. 50 ecos make up 1 reito.

IC: A young woman walked up the path leading to a medium sized, nondescript mansion. A tan, wooden sign was placed near the door. On it, in black letters, the words "Luminous Mercenaries" were painted. The mansion itself was white in color, with large black double doors. Surrounding the mansion were many trees, ranging from oaks to evergreens.

The woman glanced at the sign, making sure this was indeed the correct place. She then looked up at the mansion. Though it was not the biggest of mansions, it still held a powerful presence. Maybe because of it's current occupants? The woman got her wits together, walked up to the door, and knocked loudly.

As the woman knocked on the door, Ezral looked up from his spellbook.
"Hey guys, it seems we have a visitor," he said. "Can someone else get the door? I'm in the middle of something."

OOC: Nice way of saying "no romance" Asa. Very welcoming sort of warning. 8D;;

IC:
Taking a glance at the large doors over the antique coach where she was lying belly down on, Cynthya sighed. She didn't want to get up at all. It was a slow afternoon and she had decided she would spend time just relaxing, maybe even take a nap. Alas, there was a visitor.

The doors were quite a walk from the couch. It'd take at least two minutes walking at a good pace just to get to them. Once again, Cynthya sighed and actually got up from the couch this time. As she walked towards the door, the knocking started up once again, getting louder with every knock. Quickening her pace, she was about a meter away when a thought crossed her mind.

"Wait a tic, where's Le Mime? Wasn't he supposed to have desk duty?" Cynthya voiced loudly, as she stood in front of the door. Plastering a smile upon her face, Cynthya heaved the doors open with a little bit of difficulty. The doors were heavy after all.

"Hallo, welcome to the Luminous Mercenaries mansion. May I ask what is your business with us today?"

OOC: 8D I never said no romance. Just no yaoi. XD This just won't be a romance based RP.

IC: "I'm here with a request," said the lady clamly. "I wish to have a painting. It was a family heirloom, but was stolen from us one day."
Ezral looked up once again. "Thanks for gettin the door, Thee." He got up and walked towards the woman.

"So, you want us to get your painting? How much will you pay us?"
"I will pay you 1000 Reitos, " ((that's the currency, by the way. Currently 50 ecos = 1 reito. 1000 is a lot.)) the woman replied.
"1000 Reitos?! Then, we will accept, unless there are any objections? " The others were silent. " Well, we shall go find your painting! Any idea where it is?"
"Last I heard it was in New Thames. I'm sure you can find more information there."
"All right then, we'll try to find your painting as soon as possible. Goodbye, now"
"Thank you, and goodbye." the woman responded as she walked out the doors.

OOC: Caps is very welcoming dude.

IC:
Thought the woman had made her leave many moments ago, no one took their move. 1000 Reitos was a pretty high price, considering they haven't been getting any high paying jobs lately. Cynthya smiled happily, thinking of how much money would be hers. Thinking of the job was good: she was starting to get focused on what they were going to do.

"Do you know what I just noticed guys?" Cynthya said to her fellow mercenaries with widened blue eyes, "We didn't get any contact information from the lady. Or even an upfront payment, or what the stupid painting is supposed to be, where exactly in New Thames, or anything!" She started to tug on one of her braids, hoping that she just randomly fell asleep during the meeting with the woman and someone took down vital information for the job.

OOC: XD Yeah I know. Well, I'll change it. And in case you're wondering the woman gave us no information on purpose.

IC:
"That is odd," replied Ezral. "I'd expect at least contact information. Seems we were so blinded by money we forgot to ask... But that still doesn't explain why she would not tell us." He put his hand on his head and thought for a second.
After a minute or so of thinking, Ezral said, "Well, I can't think of any reason. Any ideas why?" He looked inquiringly at Le Mime and Cynthya.

OOC: HOW DARE SHE D8< Not that Le Mime heard ANY of the info >:c (Yes he did)


IC: 'Hakkuro' was under the desk, idly playin with the stray cat he had brought in a week ago. The otherz had gotten mad about it since they didn't have much money to throw around and now they'd have a cat to feed. The mime decided to keep it anywayz.
After Cynthya had opened the door he came out from his hidin (He hated desk duty) and leaned on the desk.
"Hmm maybe she wasn't serious, Chief? That was a lot of money. " the mime spoke, twirlin his braid between his fingerz, holdin the cat in his other arm.

OOC: XD Under his desk. AKA In the shower.

IC:
"Yeah, but why would she come all the way here to play a simple practical joke? Plus, she SEEMED earnest enough." Ezral began pacing around the room, thinking about this odd situation.
"Well, there's only one question at this point. Shall we go to New Thames?" he asked his fellow mercenaries.

OOC: I was in the shower XD HE was under the desk : D


IC: It could've been a joke. Send us to New Thames on a wild goose chase only to come back empty handed. Odd way of amusin her? It was a kind of joke the mime would most likely pull on them too. Nevertheless he was bored. "Sure, why not~" He looked twordz Cynthya, waitin for her answer

IC:

"Boss man, I don't think we have enough funds to go to New Thames," Cynthya simpy stated while taking a balance book off the front desk. "Sure, we had plenty of small jobs around Loirouse, but even all together, it won't cover the expenses for three round trip tickets to New Thames." Then Cynthya started ticking off her fingers, "Factor in food and living expenses, traveling mindlessly around New Thames, bringing the cat along because we can't trust it in here with the couches, and the fact we got to close up the mansion and business for an unknown amount of days and paying for those out of our own pockets, this job would be costing us quite a bit."

She broke out into a feral smile. "But I do hear that hoverblades are cheaper in New Thames than they cost in the capital."

IC:
"Well, if we all agree, let's get going! We'll go tomorrow. I'll go rent us a hoverboat, while you guys can pack some food and other supplies we need." Ezral began to walk out the door, when he turned around and glanced at his friends.
"And make sure not to forget anything. I don't want to be starving out in the middle of Aizo, on our way to New thames, and be forced to eat the cat." Ezral then walked out the door, on his way to the capital to find a good, cheap hoverboat.

OOC: Okay, The capital of Loirouse is now a port city 8D

IC: Hakkuro pouted at the remarkz made about his cat and walked out from behind the desk, lettin the cat go run around for a bit. "Ezral, you touch my cat an I'm shavin you head!" he yelled back at the mage as the door shut behind him.
The mime grabbed a bag that he left hangin on the arm of one of the couchez and walked off to the kitchen. "I'll take care of the food, you get the suppliez, Theejay~"
He opened a cabinet door and started tossin some canz into the sack.

IC:

"But I've always wanted to try out making cat a la mode in a kitchen Mimesy," Cynthya called back to the mime as she snatched a sack from a drawer in the desk. "It's always fun to experiment new recipes before cooking them in a life or death situation." With that said, she walkd off to the supply room, where she plopped potions, bandages, maps and whatever else miscellaneous stuff they needed.

OOC: My poor cat X'D


IC: "I'll be sure to tell all the neighborz to keep their catz inside." he said, glancin out the kitchen door to make sure the theif hadn't gotten hold of his cat. He went back to packin the food, openin all the cabinetz and drawerz, grabbin what he could find. Canned beanz, soup, bread, some applez and bananaz. "So how much food do you think I should bring? I'm sure we can buy more at New Thames when we get there." the food bag was gettin heavy.

IC:

"Don't bring anything that can spoil too quickly. Spoiling food in the middle of Aizo is bad. I hear you're not allowed to throw spoiled food out into the water because that'll attract sea monkeys." Cynthya said, popping her head out of the supply room for a bit. "Oh, do you know if we should bring the really bright tent we got from that circus job awhile back? We need a place to sleep if we can't find a cheap hostel or something."

IC: The mime probably woulda taken in the sea monkiez for petz. He popped his head out the kitchen door also. "The bright orange and yellow one? Sure, I just hope we don't get eaten by some creaturez in the forestz out there cuz of it."

IC:
As the two were packing, Ezral walked through the doors with a tired look on his face, as if he had just gone through a very entertaining experience attempting to rent a hoverboat.
"Well, I found us one," Ezral said. He plopped down on a nearby couch. "Have you guys finished packing yet?" he asked. "Because if you have I'm calling it a day."

IC: Le Mime peeked out the door again when Ezral returned. "Not yet, wanna help with the food? I have no clue what else to bring" he laughed. He wasn't really expectin the mage to come over and help, what with that tired look on his face. "How you doin over there, Thee?"

IC:

"I'm about done with all the first aid stuff and I've got the tent in here." Thee replied, brushing off her knees after standing up. "I don't think we need any more supplies, unless we need to bring extra weapons." She popped her head out of the supply room once again.

IC: The mime took a moment. He hoped they were weaponz he could handle. One time they had none he could weild correctly, he was in the hospital for 3 weekz. Not fun.
He called out to Ezral again. "Gunna help, man?"

IC:
"No, I'm too worn out. It was hard trying to find a hoverboat. I think I'll go to sleep," the mage called out. He rose from his couch and walked upstairs to his room.
The others soon finsished packing everything important, and retired to their rooms as well.

Ezral awoke at around 8:30. ((They use the same time as us, as that's just easier. How they measure it, I'm assuming some magical device.)) He groggily got up and awoke his still sleeping comrades. They all got dressed and assembled their things (including a certain emergency food supply cat), and went downstairs.
"Well," Ezral said, "Here we go. Hope you didn't forget anything, guys."

IC: "Hmph" Hakkuro went back to packin more foodz then plopped the bag onto the kitchen coutner. "Aight, I'm done in here! I'll go get some sleep too."

Le Mime rolled in bed a bit at first before finally wakin. He looked out his window askin himself what time it was. Peakin under his bed, he grabbed the cat out from undere there and followed the mage downstairz.
Checkin his bagz and pickin the cat up in his handz and pettin it he replied "I'm all good here"

IC:

"Some help you are boss man! Not giving us direct orders!" Cynthya complained, not happy that Ezral didn't give her or Le Mime a straight answer. "Pssh. Oh well. Off to bed I go~" and with a cat-like stretch, Cynthya headed off to bed.

It was early. A bit too early for Cynthya's liking. That's what she got for not packing her own personal stuff before going to sleep. Oh well, Cynthya thought, no use complaining about it. Getting her things ready, she headed downstairs following her mercenary companions.

IC:
The three of them walked the path to the city.
The capital was a very large city. Since it was a port city, trade ships could often be seen leaving and entering the city. There were tall buildings all over, and people were busy walking through the streets.
"Well, here we are," said Ezral. "Our hoverboat should on the coast already. That WAS part of the plan. So, let's go to the east." He pointed towards where their destination was, a small pier near an equally small hoverboat shop.
"Oh, and try not to get distracted," he said as he looked at Cynthya, who he thought would wander off to look at hoverblades.

IC:

"Oh, Chiefetain," Cynthya shook her head in response, "They overprice hoverblades here, at least this part of the capital." Looking over to their other party member she thought of an idea. "Anyway, I was looking for a cage we could put the cat in and throw overboard and see if we can catch any sharks. We could eat the cat afterwards and sell the shark on the black market. Good money right there."

IC: The mime clinged to his cat tightly. "How bout we put you in the cage and throw you overboard." he insisted to the youngest member. "Or better, we can sell you!" Le mime grinned twordz Thee.
