IC:

"Hey Captain, why would it be like a family momento?" Cynthya asked as she closed the doors and locked them. She started walking up the stairs, planning on going onto a differeent floor or wing than Ezral. "I wonder if it's still wrapped up like most newly bought paintings are..."

IC:
"Maybe," said Ezral. Ezral walked down a hallway, looking into rooms. Yet nothing caught his eye. All the way he saw many other paintings.
"Ugh, this is going to take forever..."
Ezral pushed open a fairly large door, and was inside what looked to be a bedroom. On the bed, he saw what Cynthya had said - a wrapped up painting.
He opened the wrapping, yet there was nothing there. "That's odd..." Ezral thought. He threw the wrapping back down and started to walk out the door, when movement caught his eye.
"What was that? It's going towards where Thee was." Ezral ran after it. He stopped at the stairs and yelled, "Le Mime! I think someone else has stolen the painting! Come up here!" and continued to run after the source of movement.

IC: "This guy'z obsessed with pai--- Say what?!" he was interrupted by Ezral'z call. He got out of the dinin room and quickly ran up the stairz to where his partnerz were.
He caught sight of Ezral. "What'z goin on? How do you kno, Chief?"

IC:

On the opposite end of the floor Ezral had stopped on, Cynthya had found nothing. All the paintings were of flowers and pudgy baby faces and bowls of fruit.

"Man the dude will buy anything..." She said amazed as she happened upon a painting of a bowl of soup. Staring at the painting for a moment, she decided to turn around and go back downstairs. On her way however, she heard Ezral's call and immediately started dashing towards the staircase, all the while getting her dagger out just in case of encountering a nemesis.

OOC: ACTION!

IC:
The figure stopped. He was surrounded. Ezral and Hakkuro in front, and Cynthya in the back. The only other option was to jump down to the first floor.
Ezral drew his blade. "Now, want to give us that painting?"
The figured - just a normal person in brown clothing with a black shroud - began to speak. "Do you know how much this painting's worth? There's no way I'm giving it up!" The painting thief threw knives at Ezral and Le Mime. Ezral shot a fireball at the painting thief, who ducked under the fireball, now headed towards Cynthya.

IC: Hakkuro followed Ezral'z lead and drew out his sword as well. He raised it, knocked away the thrown knivez.
"Cynthya, watch it!"

OOC: :'D Action...

IC:

Cynthya dashed forward, dagger in hand, and saw the figure launch throwing knives at her companions. She quickly got a vial out of her satchell and uncorked it, dousing her dagger with a fever-inducing poison. That was when she noticed the fire ball coming towards her.

"Whoa!" she yelled while doing a dodge roll to get out of the fire ball's way, hoping she slash herself or didn't spill any of the poison. When she sprung up from the dodge roll, she noted that the thief was right ahead of her. Getting back into a run, she moved forward and made a slash at the figure's arm and made some contact, making a rip in his shroud and drew a little bit of blood.

IC: Le Mime dropped down his sword and pulled out his knivez, throwin them at the their attacker. One missed but the other stuck him in the back of his leg. The paintin thief yelled in pain as he was both struck by the mime'z knife and Cynthya'z dagger.
"Thee, outta the way!" he warned as he mimiced the fire ball and blasted it twordz the two.

IC:

Cynthya smirked when she noticed Le Mime got a hit on the painting thief too and heeding his warning, she zigzagged out of the fire ball's way while wiping away the rest of the poison and blood with a rag from her satchell. Once again, she reached into her satchell for something to douse her dagger with and this time the vial contained a paralysis potion.

IC:
Noticing Cynthya's actions, the thief turned to face her. However, her other poisoning started taking it's effect, and with the added effect of Le Mime's fireball, the thief dropped to the ground.
"Augh...what-what did you lace your dagger with?"
Ezral walked up to the foe and stuck his sword to the thief's throat. "All right, this job is alreayd annoying enough, and I DON'T need you to make it more annoying. So, either give me that painting or I'll kill you and take it anyway." The thief shoved the painting in Ezral's face. "T-take it!" the thief proclaimed. Ezral sheathed his blade and took the painting. "Now, I hope this is the right one. Let's go, guys." Ezral started to walk down the stairs.

IC: Le Mime watched Ezral walk down the stairz then turned to the paintin thief. "Hey, Thee, how long till your poision wearz off?" he asked, pokin at the man on the floor with his foot. He bent down and yanked out his dagger from his leg, followed with a loud, painful moan. "Now where'd my other one go...." he walked off to the other end of the room, pickin up his sword and attachin it back to his belt. He spotted the other knife lodged into the wall twordz the high up ceilin and sighed. "How'd it get up there.." he placed a foot to the wall, usin it to boost him up to grab the knife.

IC:

Cynthya watched as her poison started taking effect. The painting thief dropped to the floor. She must have picked one of the faster working poisons. She immediately stopped thinking in attack-mode as Ezral put his sword to the thief's throat. Quickly she sheathed her dagger and took out another vial from her satchell. "It'll wear off in five days to a week," she answered Le Mime's inquiry.

Waiting till the mage was out of earshot, Cynthya approached the suffering thief on the floor. "I'll leave you the antidote for my poison if you can tell me the name of the painting and how much it'd cost on the black market," she offered.

"I-it's called the Chart d'Azrael," the painting thief panted, "And it's worth a good 1500 reitos..." He weakly reached up to try and get the vial out of Cynthya's hand. "N-now give me the v-vial..."

Cynthya sardonically smiled and walked to the third step of the staircase, a good seven or eight feet away from the fevered thief, and placed the vial down. "The vial's there if you can get to it," she sweetly said and turned to the mime who was getting his other knife, "Hakkuro! Let's get moving!" and made a dash down the stairs.

IC: Le Mime landed back down from the ceilin, knife in hand. He placed it in his belt along with the other knife and sword and laughed. "That'z so mean, Thee." The mime looked down at the thief, strugglin in pain to get to the vial. "Good luck with that!" He winked, salutin the theif farewell and followin his friendz back down the stairz.

OOC: CYNTHYA IS CRUEL XD

IC:
Ezral looked behind him to see his allies walking down the stairs. "Took you guys long enough," he said as he walked out the mansion. "But, what should we do now? We don't know how to contact that woman. I suppose we should head back to our inn first. We can discuss things there."

IC: "I could've taken longer and asked him for his name. I need a new one anywayz." he laughed, catchin up to the two.
"Nevermind contactin her, how do we even kno this is the one?" Hakkuro took hold of the paintin an looked at it. It didn't look anythin special, he wondered why it was so expensive. "Ick, this frame lookz horrible!" the mime held the 12x15 paintin by the top corner, swingin it a bit.

IC:

"Mimesy, you might damage the goods if you hold it like that!" Cynthya warned the mime as they started walking to the inn. The sun had started to set. They had spent a couple of hours in that mansion, with no one walking in or coming home.

"I was able to exchange some key information from the thief about the painting while you were waiting for us Ezral. You seem to be rushing in and rushing out without asking any questions Boss Man," she said to the mage, all the while wondering about the information she bargained with the painting thief.

IC:
"Well I was angry. Who cares about the painting anyone? All I care about is getting it back and-" Ezral notices Hakkuro swinging the painting around- "Uh, Mimey? You might not want to do that. What if you drop it?"
"Wait, how and what did you get from the thief anyway?" Ezral asked.

IC:

"Key information, el capitan. You know, some basic stuff. But alas, I don't think we should talk about that stuff here," Cynthya answered secretively, quickening her pace a bit. "The trees may hear us. Anyway, we should probably high-tail it out of here and get to our room at the inn as quickly as possible."

IC: "If otherz are tryin to steal it, it must be valuable." he said. The mime continued swingin it, he just wanted to freak out the other two. Again he was warned about droppin the thing. "Psh I won't drop i----AAH!" at that, a monster leaped out from the bushez at Hakkuro, causin him to drop the paintin.
The mime pulled out his sword, ready to attack.

IC:
A sound of shattering framework reached the ears of Ezral. Did the Mime just drop the painting? After all his hours of dealing with annoying boat shop keepers, vendors, and, to a lesser extent, his friends, he wouldn't even be rewarded?
"Y-y-y-YOU DROPPED THE PAINTING!" Ezral yelled as he became infuriated ((cue scary glowing red eyes 8D)). Without even looking, he threw a gigantic fireball straight at the monster, incinerating it.
"WHAT DID I TELL YOU STUPID MIME?! LOOK AT IT NOW! NOW WE HAD TO GO ON THIS WHOLE STUPID QUEST FOR NOTHING!" Ezral pointed at the painting. Not surprisingly, the painting had indeed broke from it's frame, yet there was a small piece of paper on the ground, in the middle of the painting.
"Huh?" Ezral said, no longer angry as his curiosity overtook him. "What's that?"

IC:

"Man Ezral! Stop being so angry!" Cynthya said motioning Le Mime to put his sword away. She looked to the ashes of the monster and the broken framework of the painting. "Can't you put it together with your magic anyway?"

Cynthya looked to the mage and noted his curiousity. Looking back down at the painting, she moved forward to pick up the piece of paper. On it was a detailed map.

"Guys...I think you should take a look at this..."

IC: Hakkuro held up his sword infront of him, hopin Ezral wouldn't attack him in his angry rage. "I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry!" He stopped his linez of apologiez when the other'z anger appeared to die down.
He put away his sword. "Hnn?" Le Mime walked to where Cynthya was standin, holdin the sheet. "What is it Cyn?"

OOC: SHORT POST FTW!

IC:
"Sorry about that little outburst, guys," Ezral said. He walked over to where Cythnia and Le Mime were, both of them looking at the paper that had fallen out of the painting.
"Well, what's so special about this odd piece of paper?" he asked as attempted to get a look at it.

OOC: EVEN SHORTER POST WTF!

IC: Le Mime bent down a bit, level to Cynthya'z height, and looked over her shoulder. "Hey, Chief! Look!" he said, pointin at the paper. "It'z a map!"

OOC: D: I couldn't beat your shorter post...awww...

IC:

Staring at it for a few seconds, Cynthya decided to pass the map to Le Mime so she and Ezral both can see the map decently. "You hold it Le Mime," she said.
